4. IDOL IN THE SKYE
It’s time for SKYE’s summer long search to find Arizona's newest
singing star and, hopefully, a future American Idol. Every
Thursday at 7pm, they will hold their weekly singing competition
with 8 singers competing for a place in the finals,
held in September. Last year’s winner, Nisha Kataria, has
recorded a new single and toured Europe. Stop by and see if you can be SKYE’s next idol!

5. RIGATONY’S WINE DINNER
On Monday June 14th, RigaTony’s will be hosting a
five course dinner paired with some wonderful wines. The menu
will include an appetizer of baked artichoke; a spring greens,
fig, prosciutto, goat cheese, and walnut salad; spicy tomato
spaghetti topped with calamari fritti; an entrée of stracotto
(Chianti Roast Beef), polenta medallions and grilled vegetables;
and, last but not least, Amaretti and cocao stuffed baked
peaches with fresh whipped cream for dessert. The cost is $40
per person. Reservations are recommended.

6. CULTURAL DINNER SERIES AT FARRELLI’S
Farrelli’s Cinema Supper Club is excited to be working with
Welcome to America Project. This awesome organization helps
refugees from war torn countries get settled into a safe life
with an apartment, furniture, clothes and food. They will be
hosting 3 Cultural Dinner Series for The Welcome to America
Project on June 28, July 26 and August 23. The first of these
educational fundraisers will be "One Night in Bhutan" and will
feature a buffet of cuisine from that region. They will premier
the internationally acclaimed new short film Nationless
by filmmaker Carly Campo, which follows Bhutanese refugees as
they chart a new life here in Phoenix. Come learn about this
beautiful, mysterious, and troubled country and its refugee
crisis of the last 15 years. Enjoy exotic flavors as you hear
firsthand the plight and rich stories of Bhutanese refugees
beginning new lives here in
Phoenix.
The cost is a $50 donation and all proceeds go directly to help
the Welcome America Project. To purchase tickets go to
