HT Seafood, located in a “typical” strip-center at the corner of Hayden and Thomas, is anything but “typical.” Its bright and cheerful interior, its friendly service, and the close attention to the quality of the food by its father/son management team, make HT Seafood stand out from the crowd.

We started our meal with crab puffs (8 to an order!) that were chock-full off crab and fried perfectly – crisp and not oily. The hot and sour soup is some of the best we’ve had – full of meat, tofu and veggies, with a perfect blend of both hot and sour. Sometimes restaurants do too much of one or the other – HT’s is right on target.

HT does a fabulous job on all the standards – General Tso’s Chicken, house combination egg fu yung that is stuffed with meat and vegetables and smothered in rich gravy, and kung pao (with quite the pow!).

If you’re looking for non-traditional fare, try one of the Chef’s Specialties, which take interesting ingredients and pair them with sauces you may not have tried before. This part of the menu will definitely provide you with a unique and delicious Chinese dining experience. For example, the Hawaii Five’O offers lobster, shrimp, beef, pork and vegetables in a rich brown sauce. Seafood Supreme is a seafood lovers delight with shrimp, scallops, squid, crab and fish with vegetables in a delicate white wine sauce.
