What's good about Atlas Bistro? Practically everything.
Here, you can get a comfortable setting (oak chairs, paper covered tables,
simple artwork and lighting), expert wine advice (thanks to partner Chad
and server Dave), creative but not "over the top" food from Carlos, and
it's a BYOB to boot. Take a glance at the menu, talk to Chad about what
you'll be having and what you like, and he'll take you on a tour of AZ
Wine (connected to the Bistro for convenience!) to pick out the perfect
beverage for your meal.
Menu is strong on game (duck, buffalo, venison) and many dishes have
Southwest undertones. Highlights include duck chowder (one of the soups of
the day), lamb tamale with lemongrass crème fraiche, and ginger cured duck
with wild mushroom risotto. The cheese course is artfully presented.
good to know: look for the AZWine sign to find Atlas. This is a
fine time to try that wine you’ve been wanting to hunt down
what to wear: attire ranged from dresses and dress shirts to polos
and shorts. A nice evening out before or after a movie or even for a
special occasion.
must haves: bruschetta, lamb shank, cheese course.
